French embroidered suit of the Louis XVI period modified to be worn by a woman in the late nineteenth century. Sumptuous velvet cut miniature pattern of brown waves on purple background heavily embroidered with past empiétant and knot point in white silk and polychrome flowers type umbelliferae and plumets. Modifications: shortened sleeves (30 cm) and hindered, fullness given in the back to be worn on a skirt turn, addition of metal ribs, modified size (good condition of embroidery and background). Height: 102 cm - Shoulder: 32 cm
