Signed at the bottom right. 18,7 x 12 cm. Tanino Liberatore meets the scriptwriter Stefano Tamburini in 1978. It is decisive. Tanino published his first comic strips with him in the Italian magazines Cannibale and Frigidaire. In 1981, the first collection of RanXerox's adventures was published in Italy. This cyberpunk comic strip is also pre-published in France in L'Echo des Savanes. It's the consecration, the graphic and scenaristic proposal of the duo wins an immediate success and establishes the reputation of Liberatore as one of the new masters of the 9th art. Two other albums of the adventures of this ultraviolent android follow. The first one in 1983, and the second one in 1996 with the assistance of Alain Chabat in the scenario. Liberatore is an artist without concession. He is a sculptor of volumes and light in two dimensions. The energy that emerges from his line is powerful and timeless. RanXerox has become part of the world's popular culture, far surpassing the fame of the excellent albums that gave birth to him. He is, literally, a sacred monster, in the noblest sense of the word.
