King of France and Navarre By Jean Renuald Doulssecker, Strasbourg, 1727 - First edition of this important work illustrated with intaglio figures, plans and maps. Three parts bound in two volumes, only the first volume with its own title page, the second volume with two title pages, one for each part. The first volume is illustrated with a fine engraved title-frontispiece, two large fold-out plates including a map of Upper and Lower Alsace, and two engraved portrait plates. Two fold-out plans of the city of Strasbourg in the second volume. Fine period bindings in full calf, 6-rib spine, red morocco title-pieces, richly decorated caissons, good overall condition, rubbing and minor snags but not serious. Fresh interior.
