One of the very last plates of the 7 lives of the Sparrowhawk that I drew. Not far from the 600th... Ariane is still fit enough, despite the setbacks she has suffered, to gallop full gallop to the Palais de Louis XIII. This isn't the first time I've used a view of the Louvre (here, from the Tour de Nesle) engraved by Israël Sylvestre in the 17th century. This artist has helped me throughout the saga with his depictions of Paris at the time.
