The mice are still out of breath or excited from the frantic dance they've just done around Ernest, who accompanied them on the violin, but they settle down for a quiet moment, almost hypnotized and ready to hear Ernest's childhood stories. This is the title page of the album, and Gabrielle Vincent delivers the quintessence of her delicate atmosphere: a reduced chromatic range, concentrated around Ernest's Santa Claus suit, declined on the mice's costumes, with a few points of relief and this incredible gradation of whites.
