Miniature painted with watercolor and gouache on paper signed in the lower right corner, representing him in a three-quarter bust to the right in uniform, after the original portrait by Horace Vernet kept in the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg. Annotated on the back in Swedish "Nicolas, tsar of Russia, born July 6, 1796, died March 5, 1855".
In a gilt brass frame.
Second half of the 19th century.
