The account by Camille de Roquefeuil (1781-1831) contains important information about the Marquesas Islands and California, of which this is the first description given in the 19th century.
The copy is complete with two important maps, one of which is a world map, and a detail map of the northwest coast of America (New Albion, California).
The detail map with tear formerly restored, map lined.
A good copy, with bookplate from the library of General Vaudable.
