Wilhelm Focke (1878-1974), an artist working in Bremen, studied at the art academies in Düsseldorf, Munich and Weimar with Ludwig von Hofmann and in Berlin with Arthur Kampf. He was friends with Max Liebermann, Oskar Kokoschka, Max Slevogt and Hans Thoma. Group of 10 sketches: horse motifs, landscapes and figurative, pen, colored pencil, chalk and watercolor on paper, some with the estate stamp, sheet dimensions up to 14 x 21 cm.
