A set of two voodoo statuettes of bewitchment and control, one of which is a standing statue and the other a stake statue, both kpoblé (literally "tied wood") with arms bound with ties to block the action or the will of the person targeted, and the stake statuette with an iron parasol planted in the skull, the iron implying the god Gou, deity of war, forge and iron Fon, Benin Wood, cord, iron, cowrie shells, very beautiful patina of use. H. 25 and 21.5 cm Provenance : Anne and Jacques Kerchache Collection.
