The first two speak French very well and even know how to speak a little Latin; the last one speaks only Manceau, that is, the dialect of the surroundings of Le Mans. Published for the first time in 1624, this diatribe against the slackening of ecclesiastical discipline seems to have been a great success in the bookstore: there were about ten editions until the 19th century.
