Technique: Bronze, dark brown patinated.
Measurement: 34,5 x 31 x 9cm.
Notation: Signed (hallmarked) on the lower lateral surface: KOLLWITZ.
Foundry Mark: Here foundry mark in the left corner: H. NOACK BERLIN. On the lower right edge remains of the former signet of the foundry, which was also cast by the model, with indication of the city district "FRIEDENAU".
After examining relevant material, Dr. Annette Seeler, author of the catalogue raisonné of Käthe Kollwitz's sculpture, considers the present specimen to be an authorised posthumous cast, which according to her current knowledge was presumably produced by Model IV in the 1960s.
