INDES, 12ème SIECLE
Stele
Rectangular shape ending in an ogive, in basalt stone, the central body engraved with inscriptions in Sanskrit, the upper part decorated with rosettes and a garland on egg-shaped friezes. The lower part reveals four Buddha in prayer in niches. The base carved with a stylized lotus decoration. Trace of polychromy. Probably South India.
