CHINE DYNASTIE QING, PÉRIODE QIANLONG (1735 - 1796)

= Important covered tripod incense burner in gilt bronze and polychrome cloisonné enamels on a turquoise blue background, the body slightly domed, decorated with flowers and archaic chilong among lotus scrolls, the flared grips and the curved feet in the shape of elephant heads harnessed with cabochons, a reclining elephant with a vase on its back surmounting the lid with protrusions, the latter decorated with alternating ruyi and openwork reserves of scrolls and flowers. H. 42.5 cm PROVENANCE French private collection, then by descent. CONDITION REPORT Wear to the enamel, wear to the gilt, few oxidations, small lacks of enamel, few shocks, cover slightly warped, some inlays missing, feet and handles are slightly moving
