Bréguet, n°1258 Pocket watch, 1908 in extra-flat 750-thousandth yellow gold, the caseback engraved with a monogram, grey enamelled dial, Arabic numerals for the hours, chemin de fer for the minutes, second hand at six o'clock, blued steel hands. Pendent winding mechanism, bimetallic balance with compensation, lever escapement. Diameter: 4.9 cm. Gross weight: 53.1 g. (wear, appears to work). Provenance: acquired by Herctor Beeche for Christmas 1908; by descent, Touraine. We would like to thank Mr. Emmanuel Bréguet, who states: "I can confirm that watch no. 1258 appears in our books: - Simple watch, gold plate no. 17323, knife shape, silver dial, "Breguet" steel hands, made in 1908, sold to Mr. Beeche on December 18, 1908 for the price of 1,200 francs".
