Luxurious edition, decorated with a beautiful portrait of the author and 37 original etched compositions by Lobel-Riche. Edition at 300 copies. One of the first 8 copies, this one on japon : it contains 3 states of the plates, two with remarks and one with color test. In addition, it contains : - all states of the plates in artist's proofs, signed and printed by Lobel-Riche, including the pure etching reserved for the first 8 copies; the artist's proofs are in 2, 3, 4 or 5 states according to the artist's progressive work. - a suite of 8 unused and uncommercialized plates, several of which are free, in several states. All these plates have been printed on japon and gathered in a separate volume bound in the same way as the book. Prospectus (4 pages) bound in the volume. A very nice copy in morocco lined by Canape.
