Illustration engraved on copper in the gothic style, in first edition, including a frontispiece by Forliet engraved by Debret, 5 figures and 4 vignettes in the text. Copy on large wove paper, containing the frontispiece and the figures in double state, in black on mounted chine, and colored on wove paper, as well as a double separate edition of 3 of the vignettes in the same states. It is complete with the 4 pages of engraved music on copperplate, and the sheet for the placement of the engravings, not reported by Carteret. Elegant and fresh binding by Hering, an English bookbinder active in Paris in the first half of the 19th century. Some foxing.
