Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861) Triptych oban tate-e from the series Yoshinoyama kassen, the battle on Mount Yoshino, the monk Yokogawa Kakuhan at the foot of the pagoda in pursuit of Sato Tadanobu, one of the vassals of Minamoto no Yoshitsune, leaning on the roof of the pagoda. Signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga, publisher Horaido, nanushi censor's stamp, circa 1851.
