Very beautiful letter of homage addressed to George Sand's grandmother, Marie-Aurore de Saxe, natural daughter of the marshal, who had just married the count of Horn. "It is me, Madam, who is unhappy and I would like you to have as much trouble as you have in repairing what has happened to me, but I will no longer be unhappy if I can be useful to you and I will certainly make every effort to do so and to convince you of all my feelings of affection and respect with which I have the honour of being, Madam, your very humble and very obedient servant [...]".
