Attributed to Willem Van Bemmel (1630-1708) Snowy landscape Canvas. 51 x 71 cm Born in Utrecht in 1630, he died in Wohrd near Nurenberg in 1708. He belonged to a large family of artists of the same name. Like his brother Jacob Gerritsz von Bemmel (1628; 1673), he was a student of Cornelis Safteven in Rotterdam and was inspired by the works of Jan Both. His work is vast as proven by the important number of paintings preserved in private and public collections (Nurenburg, Augsburg, Frankfurt, Dresden...).
