Oil on canvas circa 1700 representing Miss DUCLOS de Châteauneuf (1664/1747) painted by Nicolas de LARGILLIERE - 97 x 150 cm outside the frame - 19th century sculpted frame - Miss Duclos tragedienne made her debut at the Comédie Française at 19 years old in 1683. Nicolas de Largilliere 1656/1746 was active in many European cities and notably in PARIS where from 1689 he became a renowned painter of the nobility and the court. We enclose the letter exchanged in 1990 between the Comédie Française, the CONDE museum and the family of the present owner.
