*VALLEY WITH THE ARMS OF THE COUNTS OF PERREGAUX. In gold. Plate decorated with a rectangular lapis lazuli engraved in intaglio with the Perregaux arms under the count's crown, supported by two lions. Ring engraved inside "Alphonse Count Perregaux Chamberlain of the Emperor Napoleon 1810". Size: 62 . Height : 2,4 cm. Gross weight : 11,5 g. A.B.E. Biography : Alphonse-Claude-Charles-Bernardin, Count PERREGAUX (1785-1841) Son of Jean-Frédéric Perregaux, Alphonse Perregaux entered as auditor of finances at the State Council. He was an auditor to the minister of the Treasury and the finance section in 1805, and was attached to the ministers of finance and the Treasury and to the finance section between 1806 and 1808. He also carried out administrative missions in Prussia, Austria and Spain. He was also chamberlain to the Emperor, then count of the Empire (December 21, 1808). Appointed peer during the Hundred Days, on June 2, 1815, he remained out of any public function during the Restoration. Senior officer of the Parisian national guard after the days of July 1830, he was promoted to the rank of peer of France on November 19, 1831, and sat in the majority until his death.
