In-8, [4] f., IX-459 p., [1] f., 2 folding tables out of text, contemporary tan basane, smooth spine decorated, red title page, marbled edges (small flaws, including rubbed headpieces, epidermis and tear on upper cover; tear without missing at the edge of the first table). Unique early edition. After having been a priest, the author, a well-informed geologist, taught natural history at the Ecole centrale du Puy-de-Dôme after the Revolution.
