Large in-12, 22 pp. + 40 plates out of text by Gus Bofa (Gustave Henri Émile Blanchot, 1883-1968) illustrated with stencils featuring caricatures of writers (the last two without characters), covers preserved (but not the spine). Bound in green half-maroquin with corners, spine with 4 nerves, gilt lettering, date at the end of the spine, gilt head. Very good condition inside. Spine and parts of the boards sunned. First edition of this wonderful satirical work, a gallery of literary portraits by Gus Bofa, presented by Roland Dorgelès. Copy numbered 849 out of 1100 on white laid paper. - CHATEAUBRIANT (Alphonse de). La Brière. Paris, Collection " Le Roman " directed by Edmond Jaloux at Bernard Grasset, 1923.
