VIVIANI Antonio called Il Sordo d'Urbino (Attributed to) Urbino 1560 - id; 1620 The Virgin and Child handing her belt to a saint. The Madonna seated in the clouds, just after her Ascension, near St. Peter, is about to be crowned by two cherubs; in the lower part, two Franciscan saints, St. Louis of France and St. Anthony of Padua, and a holy nun (St. Clara?). Pen, black ink, grey and brown wash, white highlight. Curved in the upper part. Framed with pen. Partially pasted on cardboard (small foxing). H.28-18.8 cm. Provenance: Collection of Professor Philippe Mazet.
