CROISIÈRE NOIRE. — PHOTOGRAPHIES. —

BLACK CRUISE. - PHOTOGRAPHS. - [Black Cruise]. (1924-1925). Album in-8 oblong, replaced in a modern green half cloth binding with bands, in a slipcase. Album of 30 original photographs taken in Missions in Black Africa, or showing scenes of daily life. 10 photographs, numbered from 1 to 10, show the Black Cruise Expedition, and allow us to date these photographs with precision, 1924-1925. They represent the arrival of the autochenilles, greeted by the crowd and the military, passing under a Triumphal arch made of leaves, decorated with a large French flag, and members of the Expedition, including Haardt and Audouin-Dubreuil in the middle of the settlers. The photos are laminated on a strong green paper, are of various sizes: 110 x 70 mm to 180 x 125 mm; some are faded, and some seem to be missing at the beginning of the album.
