Description

CHINA, early 19th century. Tripod incense burner decorated with handles representing dragons. Decorated with tao tie masks on a background of foliage and lotus flowers. The gilt bronze socket is openwork and incised with the YIN and YANG motif at the top. Chimera heads make the transition between the feet and the body. Copper and polychrome cloisonné enamels, gilt bronze for the handles, the grip and the ornaments of the feet. Height: 25 cm - Width at the handles: 21 cm. (Pitting, the lower part of one of the handles is detached. One foot refixed. In the state.)
