This is one of the 31 on Lana laid paper (n°49). It was probably formerly justified by mistake as 17 and then corrected to 49. There were 19 copies on Vélin pur fil (justified from 1 to 16 and A,B,C) and 31 on vergé de Lana. The plate is not yet listed in the catalog of the printed work, so this powerful composition is one of the artist's earliest attempts at this.
