Red lacquer bowl carved with detail. There is a central band of blooming lotuses with curled leaves, interspersed by flowers with large petals surrounding an auspicious symbol. The background is geometric with diamonds enclosing rosettes. In both directions there are ruyi borders. The shape is rounded, with an open rim and a circular foot covered by a border of fretwork. It is attached to a base of carved wood and openwork details. They show wear.
