Tapestry of Brussels, probably Bruges, end of the 16th /beginning of the 17th century in wool and silk. Very fine tapestry probably representing the return of the prodigal son. An old man on the stoop of his house welcomes a young man carrying a stick. On a background of an old house and several other buildings. Small borders with frame added all around. Tapestry diminished, old repairs in particular in the steps and in the feet of the young man, rentrayage on a part in top in the middle doubled. Dimensions with border : 244 x 177 cm
