Antoinette Des HOULIÈRES (de Lafon de Boisguérin) born Antoinette du Ligier de la Garde (1633-1694) is a poetess, writer. She was the first woman Académicienne. Antoinette attended the literary Salons, meeting Madeleine de Scudéry and Madame de Sévigné. She was linked with Pierre Corneille - Letter written by her hand addressed to Charles de Sainte-Maure, Duke of MONTAUSIER asking him to present his son to the King and the Dauphin. The majority of the letter is written in verses, in the form of poem: "On your letters, on your speeches/ One cannot better pledge/ I believe Lord of my works/ You liked you will always like...
