Paris, Didot l'aîné, 1785-1787. 5 volumes in-8, fawn-colored basane, spines decorated, red edges (period binding). First French edition, complete with the fifth volume containing Vivant-Denon's voyage to Sicily and Swinburne's voyage from Bayonne to Marseille. One of the few copies containing the folding map of the Pyrenees, drawn by M. de Laborde. Numerous pages browned, accidents to the covers (Brunet V, 604). Attached from the same author : Lettres sur la Suisse, adressées à Madame de M*** par un voyageur françois, en 1781. Geneva, and is in Paris at Jombert, 1783. 2 volumes in-8, fawn-colored basane, spine decorated, red edges (period binding). Rare first edition of this account of the journey made by the author through Switzerland in 1781. A large folding map in colors of Switzerland and the glaciers of Faucigny, a folding map of the city of Versoix and a map of the underground salt works of Bévieux. Spots on the headpieces, some foxing, repair to the map (Perret, 2505). TOGETHER 7 VOLUMES.
