Collection of several plans of the ports and roadsteads and some particular maps of the Mediterranean Sea with figures of the remarkable lands for the recognitions of the landings from 1732 to 1746. (Paris, without name, 1746). In folio, red morocco, triple gilt fillet on the boards with arms in the center, spine with ornate nerves, gilt edges, modern case (period binding). First and very rare edition according to Chadenat of this atlas dedicated to Monseigneur le Comte de Maurepas, Minister of State, surveyed and drawn by Sr. Ayrouard, "Réal des galères du Roy dans les voyages qu'il a fait à la visite des côtes et dans d'autres occasions avec les remarques nécessaires qu'il faut observer pour l'entrée de certains ports et autres endroits. It consists of an engraved title and 79 engraved plates entirely mounted on mitre, some folded or double-page, showing the main ports of the Mediterranean of France as well as Italy, Spain, Corsica and Sardinia. Small tear without missing at the map of the Gulf of Marseille, small rubs on the binding, qq. piqures without gravity. (Chadenat, 5011 - Polack, 300). Provenance: Copy with the arms of Charles Alexandre de Calonne (1734-1802), economist and minister of state.
