Paris, by Huart and Moreau, 1749. 2 works bound in 1 volume in-8 of 24-199-1bl. pages and [6]-160 pages, marbled calf, spine ribbed and decorated (period binding). ORIGINAL EDITION followed by the precious list of the knights who defended Rhodes. There are also some celestial revelations and prophecies, such as that of the Princess daughter of Zizime who announces the destiny of the Order. (Hellwald, p. 141). Bound in the suite : [FONTAINES (Comtesse de)]. History of Amenophis Prince of Libya. Paris, chez Gabriel-François Quillau, 1728. Second edition after the 1725 edition in Geneva, the privilege is dated October 24, 1727 (Barbier II, 653). Small loss at the upper spine, some foxing.
