ORIGINAL EDITION in which the author (1544-1627), a friar servant and historian, paints the portraits of the most important figures of the Order: rector, grand master, commander... The work is decorated with the arms of François du Mansel Saint-Liger, and 12 full-page portraits engraved in intaglio. Binding worn, repair and missing title, some foxing and rings, some engravings trimmed short with missing. Handwritten notes on the last leaf.
