School of the end of the 19th century, after Rosa BONHEUR Plowing in the Nivernais Oil on canvas Signature lower right 100 x 180 cm (old lining) Based on the famous work by Rosa Bonheur commissioned by the French State in 1849 and now in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris (inv. RF 64). This major work was copied many times at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, ours being distinguished by its imposing format and its great quality of execution.
