Description
Pair of flintlock pistols signed "DUCHAMP" with two barrels in table, of vénerie or Officer. Side-by-side barrels of 13.8 cm, caliber 14 mm, original tanning, punch of St Etienne inscribed on each barrel near the thunder on gold bottom. Breech tails finely engraved with palmettes. Round-bodied locks engraved "DUCHAMP A LYON", swan-necked hammers with scroll reinforcement, decorated on the side with palmettes in succession, basins and batteries with guilloche on the edges, batteries finished in half scroll, engraved screws. Steel trimmings cut, very worked, engraved with foliage, girdled with plants as well as the bottom of the caps. Mounts with long shafts, wood carved with foliage friezes at the level of the tail of gun, very finely squared sticks and finished in accolades. Non-original ramrods. Very well made.
