Description
Flintlock pistol of Officer of navy known as "dog of sea". Round barrel marked on the left side "DOMERRI", caliber 13 mm, round body lock marked "TULLE". Brass trimmings with mouthpiece connected at mid-barrel by a band to the escutcheon, iron belt hook. Half-barrel mounting, molded, stock finely carved at the end with a dogfish head. Missing ramrod, the screws of against plate, hook of belt and tail of barrel were changed and are not with the model (play with the hook of belt and the tail of cqnon). Total length approximately 26 cm. Surface oxidation. Circa 1780. ABE.
