BRUSSELS The fortune teller Tapestry of Brussels In the taste of David Teniers Second half of the 18th century Woven in wool and silk (Old wear in particular in the silks, old restorations, braid reported.) Height : 300 cm 300 cm ; Width : 140 cm The tapestry has retained beautiful bright colors. Absence of border, perhaps original. Indeed, in the second half of the XVIIIth century, the workshops begin to weave tapestries without borders in order to insert them in frames of woodwork. Expert : Alexandre CHEVALIER
