Franck JONS (born 1964) A soft light, 2005 Acrylic on canvas, signed lower left Countersigned and dated 2005 on the back Dimensions: H: 61; W: 60 cm Born in 1964 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, Frank Jons has lived and worked in Luxembourg since 2001. A degree in accounting and finance in his pocket but a passion for painting since his childhood: he decided in 1996 to devote himself fully to it. The first trigger was the Estève exhibition at the Grand Palais. In 2000, he undertook an 8-month trip in a camper van with his wife and child to the United States and Canada as far as the Arctic Circle, which made him change his way of working because, as a practical matter, he switched from oil to acrylic during his journey. In 2008, the Pierre Werner prize made him recognized on the Luxembourgish art scene. The personal exhibitions follow one another, the public discovers his instinctive painting from which the color springs.
