BEAUVAU (Henry de). Daily report of the voyage to the east. Nancy, J. Garnich, 1619. In-4, [4] f., 180 p. (num. 181), fawn basane, spine ribbed and decorated. Second edition illustrated on the one of 1615 by the same publisher from Nancy, illustrated with an engraved title and 49 in-text engravings which are essentially bird's-eye views of oriental cities including Venice, the Greek islands, Constantinople, Rhodes, Cyprus, Malta, Tripoli, Cairo, Alexandria, Messina, etc. The first edition (without illustration) is from 1608 in Toul by François du Bois. Modest copy, binding damaged with leather tears, corners dull, numerous inscriptions on the endpapers, numerous marks on the title page, 2 small holes on the first leaf (dedication epistle), numerous stains on the pages, but not serious, the view of Messina is laminated, halo on the last two leaves and other minor defects.
