Registration : French, 15 HP - 2 seats. Technical control : without. Condition : Not running, vehicle immobilized for almost 10 years. Price : 60 000 €. The Alfa Romeo Montreal is a sports coupe resulting from a style study by Marcello GANDINI, then employed in the workshop of the master BERTONE. The car was presented at the World Fair in Montreal in 1967. The objective was to create and expose "the highest aspiration of the man as regards automobile". The production version, although very close to the lines of the two prototypes, is fundamentally different. One of the prototypes can still be seen in the Alfa Romeo Museum in ARESE, near MILAN. In fact, Alfa Romeo took as a base the chassis of the existing Giula coupe, commonly called BERTONE by the alfists. It will be produced to 3 925 copies between 1970 and 1974. Our car dates from 1972 and was used as a demonstration vehicle by Alfa Romeo France. Bought in 1974 by its first and only private owner from the BELFORT dealer known at the time for driving FERRARI 250 TDS. Rare Bianco Zagato color identical to the 1967 prototype, it is absolutely original and never restored (original rocker panels, original sheets and seats ...). Untraceable in this condition for a Montreal and any Italian car of the 70's which were known to already rust on the factory's fleets. Its mileage is original and the last maintenance was done by the well known specialist DESSONET in MULHOUSE. Vehicle stopped since 2015 to be put back on the road. The expertise report file, the driving and maintenance booklet (original) and the historical file are attached.
