[VOLTAIRE]. La Pucelle d'Orléans, heroic-comic poem. New edition, without fault & without lacunae, increased by an epistle of Father Grisbourdon to Monsieur de Voltaire [by J.-B. de Junquières] and a Judgement on the poem of the Pucelle to M*** [Maubert de Gouvest], with an epigram on the same poem. In London, s.n., 1767. In-8, 247 p., ochre morocco, five-ribbed spine, gilt title, double cold fillet bordering the boards, double gilt fillet at the edges, inner lace, gilt edges on marbling [R. Petit] (spine faded, minor scratches on the lower board; small defects in the margins p.155-158). Edition in eighteen cantos, probably made in France, reproducing the text of the editions published in 1756 under the London address. A fine copy perfectly established by the bookbinder Petit, who has preserved large margins (h = 182 mm.) (Bengesco, n 494).

Very good condition inside. A fine set of two works by VOLTAIRE in contemporary red morocco, and small format.
