Royal Vignette - "The National Assembly considering that nothing is more instant in the current circumstances, that to provide in a certain way with that the arsenals national stores are always provided with a sufficient quantity of good weapons .... the exit abroad of all kinds of weapons ammunition of war, is prohibited. Are expressly included in this prohibition, the rifles the gunpowder of hunting, the pistols of pockets of pommels, as well as the swords, sabers knives of hunting... The national weapons will be marked with the letters A.N... The rifles of the model of 1777, existing in the national Stores, will not be able under any pretext, to be delivered to the troops of new levies, as long as it will be possible to provide them with others new or repaired...
