But I'd like you all to be at the butte at the beginning of October. Mikkelsen's coming, and I'm counting on him meeting you all. Besides, he's got a real passion for you all, you've put a spell on him. His dream is to be elected mayor of Montmartre"... Then about Morandat (who occupies Céline's apartment): "The Communists must love him, the way he babbles that shit! You see, it would have been better to let the curly-heads through in '14, instead of getting killed holding them back! The proof: Morandat has left the camp in '39 and is occupying my bed! Moral: shit always triumphs"... He refuses any press campaign, and only wants his arrest warrant lifted "like they did for Guitry"...

The clock on the left shows a "JOURNÉE DES FEMMES DE PARIS ET LEUR PARADIS", with "Lever", "à la Toilette", "à la Messe", "à la Table", "Jeu Visites Collations", "Promenade Comédie Opéra", "Après Souper Jeu ou Bal", "Coucher", "beaucoup de repos peu de fatigue". The clock on the right shows a "JOURNÉE DES HOMMES DE PARIS ET LEUR PURGATOIRE": "Lever", "Pour soutenir sa famille faut dormir peu et travailler beaucoup", "Pour faire valoir son talent faut suer sang et eau", "Pour avoir un emploi faut remuer Ciel et Terre", "Pour voir la fin d'un procès faut souffrir mort et passion", "Pour inventer des modes faut se casser la tête", "Coucher", "beaucoup de fatigue peu de repos!". 28.2 x 19.4 cm.
