Fine ISPAHAN carpet on silk chains (Iran), Shah period, (mid 20th century). Dimensions : 245 x 155cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on silk warps. On an ivory background, hunter riders, with multicolored attires, mounted on their horses. Bows, swords and spears in hand, they pursue, in a delicate plant decoration various animals. The whole is enriched with flowers, shrubs and birds. The main border is pearl gray and decorated with shrubs and animals, surrounded by two flowery counter-borders.
