A Persian rug made of wool and silk with a sepia field decorated with floral and vegetal elements joined by fine stems and arranged around a central circular shape and the areas reserved for the corners, as the field is made up of several concentric circles that follow one after the other, with the black one standing out. The border consists of seven bands: the widest band with decoration similar to that of the field, two narrow bands with simplified vegetal elements, and four thinner bands with even more simplified motifs. Complementary colours: blues, browns... Persian carpets are very popular and reputed for their technical and ornamental quality. Those of greatest value are made of wool and silk, and their ornamentation is notable for the use of a medallion in the central area, which is accompanied by other vegetal elements.
