Large byôbu (room divider) screen with 6 panels with polychrome painting representing 3 cranes (tsuru). In Japanese culture, the crane symbolizes good fortune and longevity because of its legendary lifespan of a thousand years. The screen is protected by a black lacquered wooden frame. The signature and seal of the artist in the right corner. The screen is in good condition some very minor age marks. The reverse side of the screen is decoratively covered with gray paper with a silver wave pattern. Total width : 364,4 cm ( 2 x 62,0 cm, 4 x 60,1 cm ), Height : 173,9 cm Period : End of the Meiji era (around 1900).
