[Almanach]. Collection of 18th-century fashion engravings. In-8 oblong (19.3 x 26.8 cm) of 40 ff. n. ch. mounted on tabs, burgundy basane, double gilt fillet framing the boards with fleurons at the corners, ornate ribbed spine, iron with bird in the center of the caissons, gilt title, roulette on the edges, interior lace, gilt edges, modern burgundy cloth slipcase, black title page (Pagnant). Collection of 78 intaglio fashion vignettes, 37 of them hand-colored (full-length portraits, hairstyles, small gallant scenes, etc.), all taken from small almanacs or "étrennes" of the late 18th century. Engravings presented two by two, with the exception of the first and last, and mounted on strong paper. Binding warped, slight rubbing and minor restorations to spine, otherwise a fine copy in a signed binding.
