Untitled, circa 1965 Compression of steel cables. This work will not be included in the catalog raisonné because César did not sign it. Dimensions : 36 x 21 x 8 cm Provenance : - César's studio in Old Nice, - Acquired in 1980 by Rico Zermeno, close friend of César, directly from the artist's studio, - Private American collection in Monaco, acquired from the previous owner. Painter, draughtsman, lithographer, photographer, César Baldaccini known as "César" is above all one of the great sculptors of the 20th century. He is a member of the "New Realists", a circle initiated in 1960. Main museums and representations : Paris, Centre Georges Pompidou, Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville, Cimetière Montparnasse, Esplanade de la Défense, Musée de la Sculpture en plein air, etc. Also in Tate Gallery London, National Gallery Edinburgh, Musée d'Art Contemporain Marseille, Musée Royaux des Beaux Arts de Belgique, Musée des Beaux Arts de Sao Paulo, etc.
