This sterling silver fountain pen was created using the ancient technique of die casting as well as a wax casting technique that is then finished by hand. The hallmark of this pen is its intricate design of St. Mark's Basilica on the barrel of the writing instrument. Various details of the building's distinctive architecture can be seen, including the four horses above the main entrance and the rose windows on its façade. A rosette decorates the 18-karat white-gold nib with yellow-gold trim. The cap cap is decorated with a lion, inspired by one of the centuries-old symbols of Saint Mark's.
